FAQ

Challenge Questions

Q: Where can I find my digital bib?
A: After you have registered, one the website menu click "Support" then "Participant Management". Verify your name is shown. If you are looking to print a digital bib for others you have registered such as a child, click the "+" by "Additional Registrants" then click their name. Once the correct participant is shown, click "Pre-Race Bib" under website menu.

Q: Is there a preset course I must run?
A: No, the challenge is designed to be completed from anywhere.

Q: Is there a specific tracking app required?
A: No, this is an honor system. The only person you would be cheating is yourself by failing to complete the required distance or time. For the sake of the challenge you simply log the miles and/or time completed into the challenge website. However, if you don't have a watch or smart phone app, we do highly encourage you to use Strava app. We have created a Vindura Virtual club to see how you stack up against others. The club can be found here

Q: Am I able to use activities prior to my registration date if I register after the start date?
A: You are allowed to use activities accumulated during the "Active Period" for the challenge pending they are well documented. If you are backdating activity entries prior to your registration but within the "Active Period", we request that you have documentation available for those if they were to be challenge by another participant. However, the goal is to challenge yourself to get moving and push beyond your comfort zone, so the only person you truly would be cheating would be yourself.

Q: What are the supported challenge activities?
A: For the foot travel mileage event, you may  hike, walk, run and even orienteering. For the multi-sport event, any traditional endurance activity where you are covering a distance. See the rules here for more information.

Q: Do my daily steps count?
A: No, challenge distances and times must be based on deliberate activities. This mean that your daily step trackers do not count as you must purposely complete the activity for it to count. However, we will allow for things like trail work and push mowing a lawn as those activities can really add up. Again, this is really about you and your challenge experience so don't cheat yourself.

Q: May I count activities used for other live or virtual events?
A: Yes, we highly encourage you to support other race directors and events. Mileage you complete for those events is allowed to be submitted for this challenge.
